Parking in Salisbury
Salisbury has several park and rides, one on each major entrance to the city, except for visitors arriving from
the north (i.e. A303).
You can take the park & ride from:-
- Downton Road
- London Road, Bishopdown
- Southampton Road, Tesco
- Wilton
This is by far the cheapest way of seeing the city if you're planning to visit for more than a couple of
hours.
If you're arriving from the south of the city, head for the Old George Mall car park.
This has the benefit that you don't have to pay until you've finished your visit, so can pay at the time of
exit.
Arriving from the north of the city, head for the Central car park, which takes you into the largest of
the car parks, where there's often spaces available.
On a hot day, if you want to keep your car cool, the Culver street car park and Old George Mall car
parks have covered areas.
There is very limited parking in Salt Lane and the Market Square, with a few spaces on the road if you need to
stay less than an hour and are prepared to pay.
